97th Chemical Battalion
$33.99
Eighty years between the Rhine and the Rhine again.
Activated at Fort Leonard Wood in May 1944 as a chemical mortar battalion, the 97th earned Rhineland and Central Europe campaign credit before standing down in September 1945. Reactivated in September 2023 as an Army Reserve CBRN battalion in Wackernheim, Germany, it picked the story back up almost exactly where it left off.
